Our Mission • To provide efficient and timely primary health care for students using UFM & UMIC as their health care home. • To provide preventative medical care by timely immunizations, appropriate screenings and wellness centered patient education. • To support students in their attempts to optimize good health by facilitating and promoting mental, physical and nutritional health.

Services • *Provide primary and preventative health care • *To assure immunization requirements are met • *Medical & immunization records are available by written consent Full scope of Family & Community Medicine*/ UMaryland Immediate Care Routine Adult & Gynecological Care Including blood pressure screenings Pediatrics Obstetrics* Minor injuries Minor surgeries Inpatient Care Allergy shots Sick visits Drug, testing Natural rubber and latex screenings. *Sports Medicine *Psychological testing • We are a Confidentiality * Services provided only at UFCM*
SERVICES • Prescriptions • Will refill and continue to prescribe Appropriate medications for all students while they are members of the UMB community • Controlled substances including narcotics and stimulants (Adderall, Ritalin, etc) require Detailed previous medical records from you primary care provider and Appropriate proof of testing. • Dispensation of this medications is up to the Discretion of the student health provider.
On Call Service – 24/7 • To speak with a physician after hours for urgent matters call (410)328-1362 •Physicians on call 24/7 Including Holidays
Exposure Protocol STICK LINE FOR STUDENTS- 410-328-5144 Contact Student Health / UMaryland Immediate Care at (410)328-1362 from 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday. Student Health will arrange for an exposed student to be seen A.S.A.P. PEP as indicated. Follow up as indicated. Students on rotations should contact that facilities Exposure Hotline or Employee Health then notify our UMB Student Health / UMIC.
Physician Accessibility • Walk in • UMIC open 7am to 5pm • By appointment • Call ahead for an appointment • Physicals, Pre-ops, Well-woman exams • For UMIC appointments call 410-328-1362
Health Insurance Plan • High-option Blue Cross/Blue Shield • Can go to any hospital • Can see your own doctor – but pay co-pays • All vaccines & TB Skin tests will be billed to the students insurance. • Stick Exposure Policy
Student Health Insurance • Unlimited “routine” health care for all students. • Colds, injuries, infections, pain • Contraceptive issues • Non-routine care billed to insurance • Minor surgery, colposcopy, IUD’s, etc. • Labs, X-rays, cultures – billed to insurance • Prescriptions – billed to insurance ***Insurance will cover 80% of medical billing***
Outside Insurance • Unlimited “routine” health care for all students. • Colds, injuries, infections, pain • Contraceptive issues • Non-routine care billed to insurance • Minor surgery, colposcopy, IUD’s, etc. • Labs, X-rays, cultures – billed to insurance • Prescriptions – billed to insurance ***Variable Coverage. Check with Insurer***
IMMUNIZATION & MEDICAL HISTORY FORM CompletethefrontoftheMedicalHistoryForm -You can do this. Have your HealthCare Provider complete the immunization portion or submit signed documentation. All Dental Students are required to have a Hepatitis B Surface Antibody test after having had all 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine. Students can complete their immunization process with the Student Health/UMIC clinic. Students will not be allowed to register for their second semester if the immunization portion is not in compliance. Download the Immun. & Med. Hist. form by going to the Student Health web site @ www.umaryland.edu. (under Student Services /Forms and Policies)
