  2. HOLLAND • The foreign policy of the Netherlands is based on four basic commitments: to the Atlantic cooperation, to European integration, to international development and to international law. While historically the Netherlands was a neutral state, since the second World War it became a member of a large number of international organisations. The Dutch economy is very open and relies on international trade. One of the more controversial international issues surrounding the Netherlands is its liberal policy towards soft drugs and position of the Netherlands as one of the major exporters of hard drugs.

During and after its Golden Age, the Dutch built up a commercial and colonial empire, which fell apart quickly after the Second World War; the historical ties inherited from its colonial past still influence the foreign relations of the Netherlands. • 1941-02-20 - Romania breaks relations with Netherlands

  4. ITALY • Foreign relations of the Italian Republic are the Italian government's external relations with the outside world. Located in Southern Europe, Italy, since its unification in 1861,has been considered a major European country. Italy is a founding member of the United Nations and NATO. Its main allies are France, Greece, the United States, the other NATO countries, and the European Union. Italy also maintains strong relations with Russia and theNorthern African countries, especially with its ex-colony Libya, until Italy's intervention in the military intervention against the country in 2011.

  6. FRANCE • French-Romanian relations are bilateralforeign relations between France and Romania. Diplomatic relations between the two countries date back to 1396. • Currently France has an embassy in Bucharest and three honorary consulates (in Craiova, Constanţa and Brașov). Romania has an embassy inParis, three consulates-general (in Lyon, Marseille and Strasbourg) and four honorary consulates (in Nantes, Bordeaux, Nice and Brest).

  7. Both countries are full members of NATO and of the European Union. Since 1993, Romania is a member in the Francophonie. • In World War 2 when France was joined to “Axis” and Romania was joined to “Allies” , so they fight in different team.

  8. HUNGARIAN • Hungarian-Romanian relations are foreign relations between Hungary and Romania. Relations between the two states date back from the Middle Ages. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1920. • Hungary has an embassy in Bucharest, 3 general consulates (in Cluj-Napoca, Miercurea-Ciuc and Constanţa) and 2 honorary consulates (inConstanţa and Iaşi). Romania has an embassy in Budapest and two general consulates (in Gyula and Szeged). The two countries share 443 km of common border. Both are full members of NATO and of the European Union.

  9. Romania has developed strong relations with Hungary, with the latter playing a key role in supporting Romania's bid to join the EU. Romania's ethnic Hungarian party also participated in all the government coalitions between 1996 and 2008 and from 2009. In 1996, Romania signed and ratified a basic bilateral treaty with Hungary that settled outstanding disagreements, laying the foundation for closer, more cooperative relations. • 1883-10-30 - Austria-Hungary, Germany and Romania sign military treaty • 1916-08-27 - Romania declares war on Austria-Hungary

  11. TURKEY • Romanian–Turkish relations are foreign relations between Romania and Turkey. The two countries maintain longstanding historical, geographic, and cultural relations. Romania has an embassy in Ankara and two consulates-general in Istanbul and İzmir. Turkey has an embassy in Bucharestand a consulate-general in Constanţa. Both countries are full members of the BLACKSEAFOR and BSEC. • TheRomanian War of Independence is the name used in Romanian historiography to refer to the 1877-1878 Russo-Turkish war, following which Romania, fighting on the Russian side, gained independence from the Ottoman Empire. On April 24 [O . S. April 12] 1877, Russia declared war on the Ottoman Empire and its troops entered Romania through the newly built Eiffel Bridge.

  12. On May 21 [O.S. May 9] 1877, in the Romanian parliament, MihailKogalniceanu declared the independence of Romania as the will of the Romanian people. A day later, the act was signed by Prince Carol I. The next day, the Romanian government canceled paying tribute to Turkey (914,000 lei), and the sum was given instead to the War Minister
