Web crawlers, also known as web spiders or bots, are automated programs that systematically browse the internet. They navigate from site to site to gather the most current information available. When a crawler discovers a new or updated webpage, it indexes the page and sends the data to the server, enhancing the speed and efficiency of user search queries.
