GreenMatch™ Herbicide Overview • “Burndown” or “knockdown” non-selective herbicide based on the citrus extract, d-Limonene, an industrial degreasing agent • Burndown = fast wilting or necrosis of the leaves; removes waxy cuticle • Non-selective = effective on all plant species. However, plants can have different levels of sensitivity. • Limonene • occurs naturally in citrus and certain fruits • is used in soaps, foods and perfumes • an industrial degreasing agent, limonene removes the waxy cuticle found on all plants, causing them to desiccate and die • US FDA classifies limonene as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe), essentially no measurable toxicity
