  1. The Host- An Explanation By: Melanie Mackey

  2. Once Upon a time…. Aliens took over the world!!!!!!

  3. But it’s cooler than it sounds!! • It’s a race of aliens that take over the host species on various planets, and basically make their planet a better place! It’s like a little worm that takes over your brain

  4. Anyways…. • So basically the Aliens create a better society, where everyone does their part and is nice to each other, and nobody gets diseases because they can cure EVERYTHING.

  5. But some humans got away! And so our story begins……

  6. Wanderer Wanderer is a “soul” (nickname for the aliens) that gets put into the body of Melanie Stryder, a human who was on the run. Wanderer has been to almost every planet but has never found one to call home.

  7. But Melanie refuses to fade away • Usually when a soul takes over, the soul takes over everything in the body, including the mind and stuff, and has the same memory and habits of the person it took over. • BUT, Melanie is part of the human survivors that refuse to let the aliens win ( or something like that), so she is basically Wanderer’s conscience, constantly talking to her within the body they share.

  8. Which I guess in the movie looks something like this….

  9. Melanie loved Jared (this hot guy), and because her “body” loves him, Wanderer wants to go find him.

  10. And that’s most of the story, without having to tell the whole story.

  11. But I’m mostly excited for this guy IAN O’SHEA/JAKE ABEL……FUTURE HUSBAND OF MELANIE MACKEY

  12. All in All,,,, • This is a story about humanity and unconditional love and I’ve read it eight times going on nine.
