Ichgebeihnmeinem Freund. I give it to my friend. Ichgebeihmeinen Ball. I give him a ball. Try these sentences: First write down the Akkusitive, then try the Dativ. Write down the English translation for each one. 1. Ich kaufe meiner Mutter einen Blumenstrauβ. 2. Ich gebe meinen Freunden ein Küsschen. 3. Mein Vater schenkt einem Mädchen eine Katze.

  4. Using two pronouns in a sentence If you want to have two pronouns (accusative and dative) in a sentence, the accusative pronoun goes after the verb and is followed up by the dative. Ich gebe meinem Freundeinen Ball. Ich gebe ihnihm. I give it „to“ him. Try these sentences from before. Include the two pronouns and write down the English translation for each one. 1.
