  1. BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 *Most roller coasters start by going up hill. -Going up hill helps build momentum for the rest of the ride. *It’s impossible to have momentum without an uphill challenge. -The challenges we face for the rest of 2011 are building momentum for an explosive 2012.

BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 Acts 5:38-39 “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” 1.)Peter and the other apostles were in trouble for preaching the gospel (Acts 5:17-18). -Doing the right thing can get you in trouble. 2.)Peter and John were commanded not to preach in the name of Jesus. -The world can stomach God but not JESUS! -Building momentum starts with JESUS at the center!

BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 Acts 5:38-39 “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” 3.)Peter and the other apostles were interrogated by the religious council for preaching in the name of Jesus after they were told not to do so. -They answered (Acts 5:29), “We ought obey God rather than men.” -Building momentum requires obedience to God over man!

BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 Acts 5:38-39 “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” 4.)How were the apostles able to preach in the name of Jesus with death threats on their lives after they were told not to? -Acts 4:23-31 The apostles prayed for boldness. -Building momentum requires boldness that can only come from God through prayer in the name of Jesus!

BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 Acts 5:38-39 “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” 5.)In Acts 5:33-39, the apostles are back before the religious council, and the council plans to kill them. -VS.34-39 Gamaliel, one of the council tells the rest of the council not to touch these men. -The early church had such momentum that it caused their haters to leave them alone; WE SHOULD TOO.

BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 Acts 5:38-39 “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” 6.)If what NRS is doing is of God, NO MAN CAN STOP IT! 7.)If what NRS is doing isn’t of God, IT WILL FIZZLE! 8.)As long as we are aligned with God, anyone who fights us is fighting God!

  7. BUILDING MOMENTEM FOR 2012 How Did the Momentum Start? Acts 2:1 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.” -It’s not enough just to be in one place; we must also be on one accord! 9.)They were all on one accord because they all knew the vision from Matthew 28:19-20. -This is the reason for our upcoming LEADERSHIP SUMMIT (that all will know P154) and our upcoming EVANGELISM BLITZ!
