  1. Yu Zeng Duke University J/psi p-scale update(hitSigScaleFactor=1.0518, materialScale=1.045+ new vector files + good run list + shrink template range (-0.0025,-0.0005,500))‏ W Mass and Width Meeting

  2. W Mass and Width Meeting B-field study (16 cott bins): before correction • P-scale vs. cotfor |dcot - apply quadratic correction; 16 cot bins; new template (-0.0025,-0.0005,500) - 200/pb: CotCorr = 1 – (0.00010 * cot – 0.00032 * cot * cot)‏ Before correction Before correction

  3. B-field study (16 cott bins): after correction • P-scale vs. cotfor |dcot - Apply quadratic correction; 16 cot bins; new template (-0.0025,-0.0005,500) - A bug found: Previously cotThetaCorr only applied to mu+; now fixed - 200/pb: CotCorr = 1 – (0.00010 * cot – 0.00032 * cot * cot) - step 1: CotCorr = 1 – (0.00016 * cot – 0.00032 * cot * cot)‏ After correction After correction p (after vs. before) : 8.4*10^-5; about 6.72 MeV on Mw. Consistent with 200/pb: p = 0.10*10^-3

  4. Fitting window systematics W Mass and Width Meeting • Vary fit windows 20% larger/smaller - default fitWindowRange: (0.13, 0.13, 0.12, 0.12, 0.11, 0.11, 0.11, 0.11, 0.10, 0.10, 0.09, 0.09, 0.09, 0.09, 0.08) - new fitWindowRange = 1.2 * default; 0.8 * default default fit window fit window 20% larger p=1*10^-6; about 0.1 MeV on Mw

  5. W Mass and Width Meeting Fitting window systematics • Vary fit windows 20% larger/smaller - default fitWindowRange:(0.13, 0.13, 0.12, 0.12, 0.11, 0.11, 0.11, 0.11, 0.10, 0.10, 0.09, 0.09, 0.09, 0.09, 0.08) - new fitWindowRange = 1.2 * default; 0.8 * default default fit window fit window 20% smaller p=6*10^-6; about 0.5 MeV on Mw

  6. W Mass and Width Meeting Kinematic cut systematics • pT>2.2 GeV → pT>2.4 GeV - bkg retuned. - now only 13 points on pscale vs. curv Default (pT>2.2 GeV) pT>2.4 GeV p= 4*10^-6; about 0.3 MeV on Mw

  7. Background systematics W Mass and Width Meeting • Change bkg from linear to const (still working on this) default (with sloping bkg) With const bkg

  8. W Mass and Width Meeting Backup slides ... (for pT>2.4 GeV)‏ pT>2.4 GeV

  9. W Mass and Width Meeting Curv bin 1 ~ 2

  10. W Mass and Width Meeting Curv bin 3 ~ 4

  11. W Mass and Width Meeting Curv bin 5 ~ 6

  12. Curv bin 7 ~ 8 W Mass and Width Meeting

  13. W Mass and Width Meeting Curv bin 9 ~ 10

  14. Curv bin 11 ~ 12 W Mass and Width Meeting
