ALL • organises the biggest annual national languages conference and exhibition, Language World • keeps members up-to-date on issues in languages education • publishes six journals, including the Language Learning Journal • represents members • takes part in a range of project work • provides professional development

  4. USP ALL is a meeting place for members from across the educational spectrum who meet to exchange ideas run events collaborate in projects discuss educational policy support language teachers, language teaching, language learning

What can ALL do for you? • tap into productive networks • make contacts • fund/co-fund activities • organise/help with organisation • links with schools in your region and beyond • promote your department – events, publications, conference • keep you in touch with what’s happening in all sectors

  10. For example…. • Nottingham Trent University: NTU/ALL developed a bid for a Lingua 1 project. NTU co-ordinator/ALL content • Innovation Exchange project • University of Manchester/ALL/SSAT Arabic network (SSAT funded) • University of Leicester: helped with information and advice on setting up language classes for primary teachers
