  1. LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To find out who won the Civil War and the reasons why and to learn what happened to the loser. TITLE: Who won the Civil War and why?

We are going to find out who had their head chopped off and why. • To do this we need to look at who won the Civil War, Parliament or Royalists. • Turn to page 56 in the textbook • We are going to read through the information together as a class. After each section we shall stop and discuss how this helped Parliament win the Civil War. • You will then have 3 minutes to write in your own words in the tables provided how this helped the Parliamentarians win the Civil War. • This will mean we will have a list of the reasons why Parliament won the Civil War which will help us to explain who had their head chopped off!
