  1. Magline’s Contributions to the Craft Brewing Industry The recent explosive growth of the craft brewing industry is a tremendous development for the global marketplace. There are a number of reasons for that. For one, the emergence of thousands of craft breweries has proved to be a tremendous boost for thousands of local communities. As such, all of those independent breweries collectively provide thousands of jobs that contribute to a thriving industry improving national and international economies as a whole. It’s an industry that’s largely a labor of love, open to those with a passion for craft brewing. Perhaps most importantly, it’s contributing a wealth of delicious, unique beers to the marketplace. And this is no flash-in-the-pan fad. It’s an established and booming commercial enterprise. There are more craft breweries in business now than at any point in our history, including the parts of our history during which small independent breweries were the only kind that existed. And as part of their commitment to emerging industries, Magline is investing in the craft brewing industry. Hand Trucks for Moving Beer One of the most obvious ways in which Magline can and does contribute to craft brewers is with their globally-recognized and lauded hand trucks. Specifically, hand trucks that are designed for the transportation of kegs. The ideal hand trucks for moving beer are manufactured with a curved frame to better accommodate the shape of kegs. That prevents the kegs from rolling off of the hand truck during transportation. Magline’s curved back hand trucks, platform hand trucks, and more can be used by brewers and their team to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of beer. They can also serve useful in the production of it as

  2. they can help move sacks of grain, hops, and more with ease whether it be across a room, building to building, and so on. Keg Hooks and More When moving kegs, it’s also best to utilize a “keg hook,” a hook that can be hooked around the keg to help keep it in place on the hand truck. If a brewer has to move kegs up and down stairs with some regularity, these hooks can certainly help. There are also kits that can be had, that, while not exactly turning a curved back hand truck into a stair climbing dolly, can at least make it more stair-friendly. Magline is so well known for their hand trucks that around the world many hand trucks, regardless of their brand, are often referred to as “Magliners,” which is fair, considering the brand’s lauded quality and reliability across the material handling industry. However, Magline creates more than just hand trucks. And much of their equipment is perfect for the transportation of the materials necessary for a successful craft brewery. Along with kegs of brewed beer, there are literally tons of ingredients that a craft brewery has to transport. Those ingredients include sugar, yeast, hops, grains, malt syrup, water, etc. Not to mention all of the cleaning and sterilization equipment. For that, Magline has a hand cart line; platform trucks; convertible hand trucks that can be used vertically, horizontally, or to carry loads diagonally; and powered hand trucks and hand lift trucks for heavier loads.
