Ondansetron stops the reaction of chemicals in the body that may cause nausea and vomiting. Nausea or vomiting that may cause by surgery or by treatment that cures cancer (radiation or chemotherapy). You need to understand that Ondansetron doesn’t prevent nausea and vomiting that is caused by factors other than chemotherapy or cancer surgery. When not to use this medication? In case you are taking apomorphine (Apokyn), you should not use ondansetron.
