Ancient Egyptian religion evolved from animal worship to the worship of anthropomorphic gods. Key deities included Ra, the sun god, and Osiris, the god of the afterlife. The belief in afterlife was crucial, leading to mummification and burial practices involving food, drinks, and essential items for the deceased. Concepts like Ka (a part of the deceased's fortune) and Ba (the soul) were central to their beliefs about the afterlife. Nobles aspired to become stars, reflecting their desire to join the cosmos eternally.
