Analysis of EGEE Web Portal Statistics (June - September 2006) and Future Actions

Conclusions and actions • More than double visitors from April 2006 to Sept 2006 • 2905 - 6627 (1.46 visits\visitor means returning visitors) • Change in most popular areas • Information sheets in all languages continually downloaded • Try the Grid news, industry, event in top 10 • Partner pages • Increase in the hits going directly to Partner information • If you want to publicise your partner role in EGEE-II send us some updated information for your partner page • Images are welcome… see next slide • Geographic areas • Cross European Areas well represented • Increase in hits from USA, China, Korea, Vietnam • Filtering some of our institutes for clearer results

Conclusions - Google • Google most popular search engine linking each month • What gets a link to EGEE website ..first results… • Events - • Industry days, HPC events, workshops, summer schools • Send us your events, it helps the website and your event • Partner information • I get a google “Metaware partner 81” • New trend for links from google images • Send us you photos, from conferences, news items, new grid clusters • More variation in Keyphrases • Not just “egee” or “egee-II” • Etics, gLite, GILDA, BeinGrid, Partner institutes
