The Fascinating Life of Caravaggio: A Master of Baroque Art

Caravaggio, born on September 28, 1573, in Italy, is renowned for his revolutionary contributions to Baroque art. He began training at the young age of 11 under Simon Peeterzano and moved to Rome in 1592, where he produced iconic works like "The Calling of St. Matthew." His tumultuous life included a murder charge in 1606, leading to his exile. He joined the Knights of Malta but was expelled following a brawl. Caravaggio moved to Naples in 1609 and continued to create masterpieces until his untimely death in 1610. His works still captivate audiences today.
