SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL COUNCIL ON ALCOHOLISM AND DRUG DEPENDENCE • BIENNIAL REPORT : 2007 - 2009 • PROGRESS AND ACHIEVEMENTS • Extensive process of accreditation of all SANCA organisations in order to • ensure compliance with minimum norms and standards • Standardisation of SANCA out-patient treatment programmes in final stages • Development of in-house treatment outcome evaluation tool will be • completed during the course of 2010 • Development of a national research policy to approve, screen and monitor • research within SANCA • Six manuals, two of which have been accredited, were developed for use in • SANCA awareness and prevention programmes
