Optimizing Packaging Consumables Pricing for St. Ives Group

This project aimed to enhance pricing strategies across the St. Ives Group, with an annual spend of £551K. The objectives included optimizing pricing and gaining market insights. A structured RFP process was followed by an eAuction, which attracted six participating suppliers. The project resulted in impressive savings of £79K (14%) and enabled cost avoidance amidst rising market prices for corrugated products. Optimal pricing was achieved through leveraging volume across the group, supported by due diligence in clarifying auction starting prices and detailed specifications.
