  10. In 2008 Lincoln Pond was reported as “crystal clear” and significant reductions in aquatic plant coverage. • Aquatic plant coverage has decreased in recent years, particularly in 2008; • It is not know if this reflects active management, insect herbivory, or normal variability. • Recreational assessments usually degrade during the summer, coincident with increasing weed coverage, although both water quality and recreational assessments were stable in 2008. • What should be done to improve or maintain Lincoln Pond? • Water quality conditions in Lincoln Pond appear to be highly favorable, but recreational; impacts are closely tied to invasive weeds. • Lake management activities should focus on • minimizing phosphorus inputs to the lake, • prevent additional introduction of exotic plants and animals to the lakes • education, • surveillance of boat launch sites (public and private), and • boat inspections.
