  1. Joan Miró • 1893 – 1983 • Style: Organic forms and flattened picture planes drawn with sharp lines. • Influenced by Surrealism, expressionism, cubism, and Dada but refused to be apart of any group. • Changed from painting to creating sculptures and various other media productions.

  2. He created a tapestry for one of the World Trade Center Buildings. Its loss was estimated at 5 million dollars. • Received the Gold Metal of Fine Arts from King Juan Carlos I. • His art has been used through various medias, such as in Nike commercials and even an episode of the Simpsons.
