  2. The main function of the muscular system is to provide strength, balance, posture, movement and heat for the body to keep warm.

  3. Some Facts bout the muscles • The heaviest muscle in the human body is the Latissmus Dorsi • The glutinous Maximus is the largest muscle • 40% of body mass is muscle

  4. The three types of muscles in the body. • Skeletal muscle • They are attached to bones with bundles of collagen fibers know as tendons, and this muscle helps with the body's movement. • They are made up of myocytes, or muscle cells, or sometimes called "muscle fibers".

  5. The three types of muscles in the body. 2. Cardiac muscle • They are found in the walls of the heart, and they propel blood out the atria and ventricles and throughout the blood vessels in the body. • The cardiac muscle helps remove waste such as carbon dioxide

  6. The three types of muscles in the body. 3. Smooth muscle • They are involuntary non-striated muscles, that are divide into two groups: single-unit and multiunit. • They are mostly found within walls of blood vessels

  7. Some muscles disorders • ATONY- muscles are floppy, lacking their normal elasticity. • SPASM- lack of movement cause the muscle to have painful spasm. • ATROPHY-may cause muscle to shrink in size because they are not used often.
