  13. Homework PolicyStudents lose a conduct point if not prepared on date due.Students have 2-5 days to turn in late work. After that, grade becomes a zero.

  14. Grade Level Grading Policy • Tests and Quiz Grades – make corrections or retake for grades 74% or below; the two grades will be averaged together for a grade no higher than a 75% • Must be completed by the next week.

  17. Tuesday Folders • Sign weekly and clean out papers • Look for graded work

  18. Planners • Filled out by students daily • Parents should check nightly

  19. Absence Policy • For each day absent, one day is allowed to complete missed work. • Your child is responsible for any missed work. They must pick up the next day. • If parents wants to pick up daily work, please email the homeroom teacher by 10 a.m.

  20. Snacks and Birthdays • Snacktime will be given in the afternoon • Cupcake Fridays will begin at 1:25

  22. Extra Value Meal $4.50 • The Extra Value Meal includes 5 items. • Homebaked items (muffin, cookie) • Brand name juice drinks

  23. Olweus Bullying Prevention Program “…the most researched and best-known bullying prevention program available today. It is a whole-school program that has been proven to prevent or reduce bullying throughout a school setting. OBPP is used at the school, classroom and individual levels and includes methods to reach out to parents and the community for involvement and support.” Lake Pointe Elementary teachers will be trained on this program, and there will be some form of parent/community training session as well. The program will help us to all use the same wordage when talking about and defining bullying. It will address not only how to work with the bully and the victim, but it will also focus on the importance of the role of the bystander(s).
