  2. Existing Masjid • Existing masjid is Masjid e Aqsa which is built on a 30x40 plot – 1200 sft in Doddakanelli, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore • The existing trust is called Masjid e Aqsa Trust

  3. Current Situation • Current masjid was build for a population of ~120 families in the neighbourhood • Now, there are almost 2500+ muslims in the neighbourhood – who are largely daily wage earners • There is no other masjid in a radius of about 5.5 Kms (about 20-25 minutes drive) • During Juma prayer there is a crowd of 1000+ which gathers at the masjid and the current place is clearly extremely small and people are praying on the road – causing lot of inconvenience to the neighbours • Parking has become a major problem • The neighbours have started to object regularly and some have even started to block some bylanes to prevent us from parking in their bylanes • There is absolute chaos during the rainy season (June to September)

Roadmap • Plan 1 is to buy site 16 as identified above • The registered area will be 3150 sqft, but including some extra “kharaab” land, the total area available for use is 4000 sft • Plan 2 (subject to availability of funds) is to buy both sites 16 and 15 (2400 sft) next to it – but construction will only be done on site 16 and site 15 will be kept for parking and future expansion Insha Allah
