  5. What is Medical Transcription and Medical Coding & Billing? Every time a patient sees a doctor, the doctor must record the interaction for medical records and billing purposes. Medical transcription and editing converts the recording into the final text format. Medical coding and billing is the crucial next step in insurance and patient billing.
