USA Volleyball is the national governing body for the sport of volleyball in the United States. • All players must register (or renew) with WEVA prior to tryouts each year. This is done on-line at the WEVA website. 2013-2014 registration opens on September 1st. • Bring the following items with you to the first tryout: • Print your WEVA membership card • Print the WEVA Waiver form • Print the Medical Release form • WEVA Registration – $63.00 , paid at time of registration/renewal • This WEVA membership is transferable to or from any other club in the region www.xtremevbc.org

Xtreme VBC Registration • After your WEVA registration, starting on September 1st, visit www.xtremevbc.org to register for tryouts • Active Network is now our online member management system • Enter WEVA number • Select the age group you are in, NOT the team you hope to make and add it to your “shopping cart.” • Tryout fee is $50, payable by credit/debit card. www.xtremevbc.org

  18. Active Network Registration • Select your age classification, not what team you are trying out for: • 18U Born between 9/1/1995 and 8/31/1996 (or 12th grade and below, based on USAV definitions) • 17U Born between 9/1/1996 and 8/31/1997 • 16U Born between 9/1/1997 and 8/31/1998 • 15U Born between 9/1/1998 and 8/31/1999 • 14U Born between 9/1/1999 and 8/31/2000 • 13U Born between 9/1/2000 and 8/31/2001 • 12U Born between 9/1/2001 and 8/31/2003 After selecting age classification, add item to cart and proceed. Because you have selected an age range, that does not mean that there will be a team in that age range or you will be put on it. This is the easiest way for us to obtain data we need. www.xtremevbc.org

  23. Fundraising and NCAA Amateurism Rules Q: If my parents and I raise funds to cover the cost of activities with my amateur sports club, may the entire amount of money we raise go toward my personal account? A: No, money raised by a prospect and his or her relatives may not be earmarked for use by that prospect only. Doing so would jeopardize the prospect’s amateur status. All money raised by a prospect and any individual associated with that student-athlete must be contributed to the local sports club’s general account to be used by all members of the team. The club, at its discretion, can decide where to spend those funds. www.xtremevbc.org

  24. How many players per team? Can I tryout if I haven’t registered with WEVA? Can I tryout if I haven’t registered with Xtreme? Can my daughter tryout for any team above her age group? FAQs www.xtremevbc.org
