Collaboration Scenario Maths Subject Team: Team of Maths Consultants provide curriculum support for schools across RCT They work as a team to produce curriculum documents & learning materials for schools They work on projects with teachers from a number of schools across the authority Team are based from a single location but are often out of the office / delivering teacher training

Collaboration Scenario Maths Subject Team has the following issues: Staff find it difficult to collaborate with other team members because they are out of the office Members need to be able to share documents that have been developed. Some documents need to be approved before publication Latest news and policy guidelines are e-mailed to all members Electronic documents are stored randomly on the network, laptops, or memory sticks Documents are difficult to find Staff cannot retrieve department information away from the office All school maths departments find it difficult to collaborate and share best practice

Collaboration Scenario Some ways that this solution will help the Maths Subject Team: Documents can be stored for access centrally Team members can collaborate on a document from one place Department news, events and new policy guidelines can be added and updated by team members Forms can be filled out electronically and sent by automatic workflow for managers to sign-off and then to archive Information can be tagged so that it is easily searchable Access to the system will be online – members can access information and documents away from the office Maths teachers across the authority can collaborate with the team on documents online
