Background • Minor Renovation of 3rd Floor • Accommodate current and anticipated space needs for next five years • Work Summary • Replace carpet • Repair damaged walls and ceiling tiles • Add two walls and repaint all walls • Repair lighting lens and tubes • Purchase needed furniture after exhausting current inventory

  3. Project Budget • Engineer’s estimate for 3rd Floor Renovation • $250,000 ($228,00 + $22,000 contingency) • Estimate for furniture • $200,000 • Total Cost $450,000

  4. Milestones IFB Solicitation Oct 2013 Order Furniture Oct 2013 Begin construction Nov 2013 End construction Jan 2014 Furniture install Feb 2014 Move staff Mar 2014

  5. Staff Recommendation Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Executive Director to make contract awards for two IFB’s not-to-exceed a combined total of $450,000 for: 1) construction contract for the refurbishment of the 810 Mission Avenue third floor and 2) purchase of office furniture to meet the District’s furniture needs.
