  2. Outcomes • Explore the process of choosing the most effective way to group learners. • Share ways you use flexible grouping as a tool to to differentiate “process” in your content.

  3. GETTING INTO GROUPS Procedures: • Use the card you were given to form a small group. • Create a balanced meal. Meat Vegetable Fruit • Dessert • Drink • Movement: • Form group within 45 seconds. • Move quietly. • Sit at the nearest table.

  4. Let’s talk….. • When would you use random grouping for instruction? • How are your teachers using random grouping? • How could we make this appear “random” while being “strategic”? Share Out

What is FLEXIBLE GROUPING? ….grouping practices that enhance the opportunity to receive expanded, intensive, enriched and accelerated curricula at all instructional levels. ….creates temporary groups for an hour, a day, a week, or a month or so.
