Literacy plans Text level • Shared read the Malorie Blackman interview. In pairs make notes from the interview under headings Life experiences, Likes and Dislikes. Discuss how her real life experiences are reflected in her books. Take feedback • Introduce weeks writing task ; design a dust jacket for hardback copy of ‘Thief’ Beginning with an author profile Show writing plan - biographical details, likes and dislikes, books and popularity.
ICT plans Main part of lesson • Pupils are introduced to the e-discussion. • Explain that the discussion works in the same way as the brainstorm session where a larger number of children may contribute and that it differs from the more familiar e-mail in this way. Talk about how to respond to a point made by an individual but with the whole project group as the audience.
