SecondConditional • USE: It is used to express unreal or improbable situations. Examples: • If I had a million dollars, I would buy a big house. • If we were in London today, we could be able to go to the concert in Hyde Park.
Form IF + past, + subject+ would/ could + verb( base form) If I were you, I would tell everything. If I were you, I could look for anew job opportunity. If I were your father, I wouldn’t give you so much money. If I had vacations, I would sleep the whole day. If I had vacations, I could go to the beach. If I won the lottery, I would travel around the word. NOTE: Utilizamos la forma del verbo TO BE ( WERE) con todos los pronombres personales cuando nos referirnos a situaciones hipotéticas de forma mas formal, utilizando el segundo condicional. Ejemplo: If I were…/ Ifshewere …/ Ifwewere... Etc. Pero también es correcto utilizar If I wasyou… ( es común utilizar esta expresión de forma hablada en un lenguaje informal.
