  2. Working on what we love… • We work for 3 months on an independent study project • We choose the topic and this allows for an in-depth study of something that we love • We write a research paper • We create a visual poster or model • We give an oral presentation our work to our friends

  7. Creating our project visual… “It felt great to make our display boards.” -Sidney

  8. Our completed projects… “I loved being able to study something that I really like and to help the planet at the same time.” -Sophia “Learning everything about sharks was interesting and very cool!” -Andrew

  9. Our projects… Brian did a complete study on the history of the automobile. Nikki expanded her already extensive knowledge of wolves.

  10. More completed projects… “I learned so much more about math and the Pythagorean Theorem.” -Cory “It was so great to be able to learn so much more about my pet Chihuahua, Chela.” -Luna

  11. More completed projects… “I loved learning more about my grandpa’s dog, Jake.” -Sage “I worked really hard because it was about something that I love. Now I’m even more of a skateboarding expert!” -Jesse

  12. More completed projects… “I love horses, so doing this research was very fun!” -Anahi “Surfing is one of my favorite things and learning more about the history of this great sport was awesome!” -Ben
