  5. Title; Bridal Veil Fall Location; Yosemite Valley Year; 1927 The lighting used in this photo is natural, the direction this photo was taken was from the left of the Bridal Veil Fall. The main subject in this photo is the fall because it is the center of the photo and it is also the first thing your eyes go to as a viewer of the photo. The composition used in this photo is texture and lines because the texture makes you look for it and have a since of feeling towards the photo but the lines get you to follow there the water and mountains lead toward. I choose this photo opposed to others because when I look at I have a sense of feeling. The way it was taken and the angle it was taken makes me feel like I was right next to Ansel as he was taking this photo listening to the water hit itsself.

  6. Title ; Nevada Fall Location; Yosemite National Park Year it was taken;1932 The lighting used in this photo is natural. I know this because this photo being a waterfall I would believe it is natural lighting. The angle in which this photo is taken at it from the left of the fall at about top level of the fall. The main subject of this photo is the fall and the direction that it is going down. I can tell this by how when you look at the photo the first thing you eye goes to in the fall because it sticks out at you when you look at the image. The composition of this photo I think would be lighting because the lighting of his photo is what makes it have more emotion to it with how bright and white the water is and how dark that rocks are. I think the photographer was trying to communicate that something that is not controlled and that can be so wild can be around and can be blocked by something controlled yet it manages to get free. I chose this photo over others because it has a good story and a lot of emotion to it when you first look at this photo most would say its just another photo of water but to me it has a story and it speaks a thousand and one words to me when I look at.

  7. Title; Moonrise Location ; Hernandez, New MexicoYear it was taken; 1941 The lighting used in this photo is natural because the house’s light makes it natural because that is what is lighting up the ground an the moon is lighting up one spot of the that sky but it is artificial at the same time because the clouds are not that bright or that noticeable when its dark outside. The direction the photographer took this photo is at a downward angle.I can tell this because the camera is not level with the houses but its more level with the mountains. The composition of this photo that makes it so striking is the texture and lines because the lines on the ground match those of which that are in the clouds. I think Ansel is trying to communicate that even on the darkest of nights or what would seem to be the loneliest of nights there is still hope and still things out there that can make a dark night bright. I chose this photo over others because it makes me think about how it can be so dark so alone or so it feels yet you can always find something ro make it bright and to cheer up the night.

  8. Title; The Tetons and the Snake River Location; Grand Teton National Park, WyomingYear it was taken; 1942 The lighting used in this photo in natural light. The direction that this photo is taken from is from the left of the river. The main subject of this photo is the mountains. I can tell this because the river leads to the mountains. The composition of this photo is lines I can tell this because or the river and the lines in the ground. I think this photo is communicating that something so small but long can lead to something large and great out of following something small. I chose this photo over others because to me it made me think about that if something that we all see and that is larger then people can lead to something even bigger. Just like in life something that is large can lead to somehing bigger or bettter.

  9. Title; El Capitan, Winter, Sunrise Location; Yosemite National ParkYear it was taken;1968 The lighting used in this photo is naturalthe direction that this photo is taken from is far left of the tree that is in the left. The main subject in this photo is the faint snowed mountain that is in the back ground I believe. I can tell this because the mountains in the first thing your eyes go to then you look at this image. I think what Anesl is trying to communicate is that you can be blocked by many things but you don’t have to feel like no one can see you because in the end you will be seen. I chose this photo over others because you can relate to it. If you are the type of person that feels like you fed into the background then you can take a look at this photo and know that you will never be over looked even if your not the brightest thing in the “group”.

  10. Title; Mount McKinley Location; Denali National Park, AlaskaYear it was taken;1948 The lighting used in the photo is natural. The direction that this photo is coming from is the left I know this because of the shading that are in the mountains. The main subject in this photo is cloud I believe this because they are the the major effects you notice in this photo. I think the photographer in trying to communicate that you can be low to the ground and things can be far away or up high but you can still be free and can be spaced out. What makes this photo so striking is the texture and the lighting in this photo. I chose this photo over others because when I look at it I feel like I relates to life in a way that if you have been threw so much or feel so trapped in a spot you can always look up see how the clouds are free and realize that you wont always be stuck or be in a hard spot forever and that things do get easier.
