  1. KNOW YOUR DANGERS DURING ONLINE SURFING e-Safety

  2. WHAT IS INTERNET DANGERS?

  3. IDENTITY THEFT • Known as ID theft is a crime in which a criminal obtains key pieces of personal information • E.g.: such as Social Security or driver's license numbers, in order to pose as someone else • The information can be used to obtain credit, merchandise, and services using the victims’ name. • Also provide a thief with false credentials for immigration or other applications.

  4. PHISHING EMAILS • Phishing email are designed to steal money. • Cybercriminals can do this by installing malicious software on your computer or stealing personal information off of your computer. • Cybercriminals also use social engineering to convince you to install malicious software or hand over your personal information under false pretences.

  5. HACKER AND CRACKER • Hacker is a term used by some to mean "a clever programmer" and by others, especially those in popular media, to mean "someone who tries to break into computer systems.“ • Crackeris someone who breaks into someone else's computer system, often on a network; bypasses passwords or licenses in computer programs; or in other ways intentionally breaches computer security.

  6. CYBER STALKING • Cyber stalking is much like cyber bullying , as it involves the sending of repeated annoying and unwelcome messages. • Cyber stalking involves a disturbed obsession with the target, and a perverse desire to control that target in some way, even by attacking the target's family members. • Cyber stalkers do not wish to just torment someone for an adolescent power rush but want to force the target into some kind of submission, and are willing to involve other targets to achieve that disturbed result.

  7. CYBER BULLYING • Cyber bullying is bullying through email, instant messaging (IM'ing), chat room exchanges, web site posts, or digital messages or images send to a cellular phone or personal digital assistant (PDA). • Cyber bullying, like traditional bullying, involves an imbalance of power, aggression, and a negative action that is often repeated.

  8. INTERNET PREDATOR • Cybersex offenders : cyber stalkers, paedophiles, and predators, whatever name of them, they are called as internet predators. • Boys and girls of all ages are the targets and use the anonymity of the Internet to their advantage since they can be whomever they want. • They entice children and teens by lure their victim into a trusting relationship.
