  2. Usage • Over 300 visits/day • Videos on the site are viewed more than 1,700 times per month • About 60% of visitors are seeking legal information and self-help materials, 40% are family service professionals helping someone else

  3. Content of Family Law in BC site Over 1,000 pages of legal information, including 36 self help guides and more than 22 fact sheets

  4. New features added: • a text resizer (enlarge or reduce text size) • short video and audio clips • what’s new in family law • a definitions page • relevant legislation links • publications by language • frequently asked questions

  5. Videos • 2 short clips available now, 15 more to come • 2 short films available on family law; fictionalized stories of a couple disputing child support in Provincial Court, and in the Supreme Court of BC

  6. Who can help? The first hurdle is finding the information; the next is knowing how to use it.

  7. Question #1 I want to apply for a divorce on my own – my ex doesn’t want to have to do anything. My friend told me that I have to write something called a Plaintiff’s Affidavit. Where do I find that and is that how I would get started?
