Honoring the Legacy of Early Chinese Immigrants in Singapore

This project commemorates the contributions of early Chinese immigrants who arrived in Singapore during the 19th century seeking prosperity. Initially intending to work briefly before returning home, many chose to stay, forming families and becoming integral to Singapore's growth. They took on diverse roles as laborers, shopkeepers, and businessmen, significantly shaping the economy. Our monument symbolizes their journey from foreign lands, celebrating their sacrifices, hard work, and bravery in pursuit of a better life.
