Explore Your World Project • Use this handout for your rough draft. • Complete instructions can be found on web site:http://www.cape.k12.mo.us/cjhs/english/randolphb/languages/explo/exploreworldproject.htm • First, find all of the necessary info and write on rough draft, keeping track of sources as you go. • Then, key on PowerPoint slides (SAVE to drive H/save often!!!!!) • Finally, fancy up the PowerPoint with graphics (pictures), sounds, background, etc. • Be creative – you are a travel agent!   3. Creative Title Your Name Your Hour Date Due Slide 1 – (Note: Slide # is NOT the TITLE of your slide.)DO NOT write slide number on your slides unless you know how to make a small number in corner. Make slides attractive Explore Your World Project

  5. People • Population • Language (s) spoken.  • WHY do you think this language (or these languages) are spoken in this country?  Think back to the introduction to languages unit.  Think about the location of the country. • Religion Explore Your World Project

  6. Climate • (Tropical, desert ????) • Average temperatures for seasons or travel months • Average rainfall/snowfall if appropriate • Choose a specific month to travel and recommend to travelers what to pack and what to wear. BE SPECIFIC! Explore Your World Project

  7. Agriculture • List main agricultural products produced including crops and livestock • (Why do you think this country produces these crops and creatures?  Think about the country's geographical location and climate, as well as cultural traditions) Explore Your World Project

  8. Traditional Foods • List the main foods that people eat routinely or for special occasions. • Explain the tradition behind the food. • Include pictures if possible. Explore Your World Project

  9. Manufactured Products • List the products produced by this country and what it exports.  • Why do you think this country produces such products? Explore Your World Project

  10. Tourist Attractions • Explain and suggest what visitors should do and/or see while there.  Main monuments or attractions????  Special events to plan a visit around????????? • Include pictures if possible • Must have at least 3 tourist sites Explore Your World Project

  12. Sources • List your sources in alphabetical order. • KEEP TRACK AS YOU GO!!!!!!!!!!! • Must have at least 2 books and at least 1 Internet site. Explore Your World Project

  13. Extra Credit • Find a recipe from the country and make it to share with the class.  Explore Your World Project
