Welcome to the Kelloggsville Public Schools Bond Committee meeting on October 25, 2012. Our purpose is to build a strong team to address the needs of our schools and recommend actions to the Board. This meeting will cover what a bond is, how it can finance buildings, renovations, and technology improvements, and where we currently stand with our millage rate. Join us for an engaging discussion with Q&A to share your thoughts on school facilities, technology, and athletics. Together, we can pave the way for our students' bright future!

  4. Process: what is a bond? Lump sum amount that a district borrows through the sale of bond. Payments are made through levied millage Bonds purchase buildings and other large items. Such as. . .

  9. Bonds = Technology • Infrastructure vs. device

  10. Bonds, General Funds purchase. . . • Staff or salaries • Maintenance, operating, or utility costs (e.g. the heating bill) • Training, professional development • Software (unless included in a hardware purchase

  11. What millage do we currently pay? • 7.3 mills • Last levy: December, 2014 • Annual yield: Approximately $2.4 million
