On purchasing a battery-electric car, the buyer can get a subsidy of $6,500 for a car priced below $49,000. The subsidy for the car in the range of $49,000 and $65,000 is $3,250. An organization can avail a subsidy of $3,250 for a car price under $65,000. The budget for the subsidy has also increased from $280 million to $433 million in 2020.
