  1. Cornell University Summer College By Idil Galip

  2. What will I gain by attending Cornell Summer College? • You will experience college life • Meet people from all parts of the world including the US • Take undergraduate courses • Will have the opportunity to study with world-renowned professors • Earn an average of three to six credits depending on your program • Learn about college admissions • ( And a really cool diploma!)

  3. What have I personally liked about the summer courses? • I met awesome people and made very, very good friends • It really gave me a solid idea about what I want to do when I go to college • I though I was in college for three weeks (yes, it is that realistic) • I improved my writing and researching skills dramatically • I had an amazing time while I was there • They had the best food ever • The campus was absolutely beautiful, so pretty that I wanted to take it home with me

  4. Some programs that Cornell offers • Architecture • Art • Business (Hotel Management and The Business World) • College Success • Engineering • Environmental Studies • Film • Humanities • Law and Politics • Literature • Medicine, Science and Research (the one I went to) • Psychology • Veterinary Medicine (the best in the country) • Writing

  5. Program Charges, Financial Aid and all that uncomfortable details • Six-week session: $9180 ($9230 for Architecture) • Three-week session: $5,550 ($5,600 for Art) • Deadline for most programs is April 30, 2010 • Apply as early as possible to get into first choice programs (in 2009 there were wait lists for several three week programs) • There are a limited number of financial- aid scholarships available, and the deadline is April 2, 2010

  6. Here are some pictures me and my friends took during the program

  7. This is where we had our lectures, it is called the Goldwin-Smith Hall Random house

  8. I know it doesn’t make sense. We tried hard to understand it.

  9. BEFORE CORNELL This is my section, we were about 12 students. There was 94 people in my program, but we would only have the lectures together and then we would go into our separate sections and discuss the our topic for 2 periods.

  10. AFTER CORNELL I know.
