Objectives • Identify DREL requirements for learning technology • Focus on requirements UNIQUE to learning • Facilitated discussion to generate and refine a list of high level requirements (unfortunately very limited time in this workshop) • Research existing practice, standards and ongoing standardization efforts • Identify key stakeholders and groups for investigation or collaboration • Discuss next steps • Areas for further research • Participation in DREL study groups / workshops • Workshop report • Summarize results / findings of workshop • Feed into July 4 Workshop in Brussels (9 am to 4 pm? – GMT +2)

Workshop Protocol Presentation time allotments • Provided 30 minutes each to presenters describing XrML and ODRL • All others have 15 minutes • Time limits must be strictly respected Use of time slot is up to presenter • Default is that you are allowed to present without interruption • Questions at the end if time permits Very limited time for discussion and synthesis • Due to the number of presentations • Feedback, discussion and synthesis will need to happen through the mail list and discussion forum (need to decide which tool to use)

Participant Protocol • Remote participants • Do NOT put us on hold if your hold generates elevator music for our listening pleasure • Please do not generate background noise (other calls, crinkling papers, etc) • ‘6’ allows you to mute on and off • Access presentation links at www.eduworks.com/geoff/DREL-Agenda-Detail.doc • Call my cell phone (661) 803-8323 if you have problems • On site participants • Name tags • Keep remote participants in your mind as you present and interact • Due to the size of the group remote participation and tightness of agenda, please - No side conversations, no audible cell phones • Asking questions and making comments • I will poll the remote and local participants for these whenever there is time allocated for questions and comment
