  1. “Camp Under Construction for Christ” An Awareness and Fund Raising Campaign

  2. Goal and Objectives • The goal of “Camp Under Construction for Christ” is to increase support for BYC • The objectives of “Camp Under Construction for Christ” are twofold: • To raise awareness of BYC ministries and needs, and • To increase financial contributions to BYC

  3. Why? • Every summer hundreds of children and adults experience Christ centered camping at BYC • BYC is a ministry that changes lives • BYC is a ministry worthy of support

  4. Presently… • BYC is serving more children, families and churches than at any time in recent history! • Several significant improvements have been made to BYC, and more are necessary • BYC would like to be able to further develop its special camping and retreat ministries

  5. How To Help • BYC will benefit greatly from pledges of financial support • All pledges are appreciated • Monthly support is preferred because it helps us with “year round” expenses

  6. A Few Numbers to Consider • $40.00, enough to feed one camper for a week • 150.00, enough to pay one counselor’s salary for a week • $175.00, enough to send one child to camp for a week

  7. Keep the Change? • The final component of “Camp Under Construction for Christ” is the money jar initiative

  8. Here’s How It Works • Willing participants will receive a “Camp Under Construction for Christ” money container

  9. The Money Jar • The container should be kept in the home, workplace or church in a prominent location • By displaying the money container in a prominent and easy to access place, children, families and churches will be regularly reminded of BYC, and can give consistent prayerful and financial consideration to BYC throughout the year

  10. The Money Jar • When the container becomes full, or at any other appropriate time, simply count the contents and forward the charitable contribution to BYC, P.O. Box 5540, Ellsworth, Maine 04605

  11. What Can I Do? • Please consider participating in “Camp Under Construction for Christ” • Make a pledge • Take a jar • Spread the word

  12. What Can I Do? • Please pray for the ministry and leadership of BYC

  13. What Can I Do? • Please come to BYC this summer and experience what Christ-centered camping is all about • Come to serve, or just drop by for a visit. • Be careful. The spirit of BYC is highly contagious!

  14. What Can I Do? • Please prayerfully consider any ways that God would have you assist BYC in its mission of providing Christ-centered camping and retreats for the children, families and churches of Maine
