The Parable (Matt 25:1-13) • Virgins – Church members • Bridegroom – Christ • Coming of the Bridegroom – Second Coming of Christ • Midnight cry – Call to judgment • Refusal to give oil – Merit is not transferable • Shut door – Impossibility of the last minute Christ proclaims the urgent need to always be prepared for His 2nd Coming
