  3. 1943 1974 1950 1950 La primera referencia que describe ampliamente el procedimiento de la Ingeniería de Sistemas fue publicada por Melvin J. Kelly se creaba un primer curso de postgrado sobre el tema en el MIT y sería el propio Hall el primer autor de un tratado completo sobre el tema [Hall, 1962] estándar militar de las fuerzas aéreas estadounidenses sobre gestión de la ingeniería se fusionaban los departamentos de Ingeniería de Conmutación e Ingeniería de Transmisión bajo la denominación de Ingeniería de Sistemas.
