Several Keys (or rather lessons learned) • Talent Retention • US vs Them Mentality (competition for jobs) • “The Transition” • Divide responsibilities by subsystems • Need US technical mentor! • Training and Promotion • Limit on the job training! • Local Formal Training • US Formal Training • Exchange program with Customers? • Promote Yearly ?!?

  3. Several Keys • Management Maturation • Bring Foreign Nationals to US for a half year prior! (Family Challenges) • Have staff meetings rotate thru all locations • Senior Product Development Managers Travel! Or • Limit the ExPat assignments to a year

  4. Several Keys • Communication • The 8am and 8pm Phone Meetings • Need very good English skills • Need very good connection • Limit to once a week, 1 hour max • Use your PDM system to the utmost! • Follow the Process! (Consistency is Critical)
