CONCEPT MAPPING A concept map is a type of graphic organizer that shows how concepts relate to one another. These web-like organizers arrange concepts in a hierarchy, which means that they are ranked from what is most important to least important. Concepts are joined by arrows, which are accompanied by “linking words”. Once these are all in place, a concept map can be read from one idea to the next, almost like sentences.
