  8. Give Back through Philanthropic Activities • SCORE Work • Websites for other RSO’s/Entities • AITP Tutors in the School of Business • Folding@Home • Setting up Labs for MIS Classes • Co-host for 2010 NCC!!!!!!!

  9. Be Diverse • Be open to all majors if possible • Make sure events are diverse (e.g. our LAN party) • Always ask for member opinions and include them in the planning of events

  10. Plan, Plan, Plan • Create SOP’s for the club • Website – keep it current • Keep an updated calendar • Communicate through broadcast messages • Have “business” and “social” meetings

How You Can Get Started • Find out where opportunities exist • Build relationships with companies (or what schools can your company team with?) • Find where you have connections! • Alumni, Friends, Family, Faculty • Relationships create mutual benefit • Make your organization known at your school • Give back, Have Events, Advertise • Go to “intro” level classes to recruit • Go to MIS/CIS Classes • RSO Day on Campus (get your name out)
