  1. Horizons By: Brittney Baker, Kara Daniel, and Hayden Hughes

  2. S.T.A.R. S.T.A.R is horizons logo. It stands for Students Taking Academic Responsibility. This means that you are supposed to work hard ,and be responsible.

  3. Caesar’s English Caesar’s English teaches you how to use stems. Here are some stem examples. Example- tri- tricycle, tripod, and triceps

  4. Hands on Equations Hands on Equations is a way of learning algebra and helps you with math. Hands on Equations is challenging but can also be fun. Hands on Equations has four levels that work your brain more each time.

  5. Current Events Current Events helps kids learn what is going on in our world! This teaches students about the modern activities. Many people choose different topics like government, health, entertainment and, etc.

  6. Chess In first grade you learn the basics of chess. Then when your older you learn how to play the entire game. Around the middle of the year you have a chess tournament. This shows who has the best skills and, strategy in chess.

  7. Genre of the Month and Blogging Genre of the Month expands children's reading levels and knowledge. You read different types of genres each month. At the end of the month once you have finished your book you blog on the horizons website.

  8. Projects In horizons we do many projects. One of them is called Making Ends Meet. This is for third grade to teach them what it is like to be an adult. We also do Meet my Buddy at the beginning of the year. This shows people what you and your buddy are like.

  9. Teachers The teachers in horizons are awesome but strict. This teaches students respect and listening skills. The teachers are: Ms. Jane Grebe Ms. Lydia Cox Ms. Marsha Gravitt
