  2. O.K. • In most countries, when index finger and thumb circle a circle, it means “everything is fine and great”. And in Japan, it means “money”. But when it is in south England, it may cries down people as well as means “you are nothing”. In addition, in Brazil or Turkey, it even demeans people and deny a person.

  3. Victory • When index finger and middle finger are spread, and the others form a stone, it means “Victory” ,which comes from England. The gesture, “V”, has already been a world language, it expresses exultation of victory. Nonetheless, in Greece, if you do not turn your finger back, which would means that you contempt someone or despise somebody. Because of the gesture, “V”, symbolizing that you see other people as a devil or a evil person.

  4. Admiration • The most of time, when your thumb is spread and the other form a stone, it expresses your complimentary and certainty for someone. But in middle east areas, it may means great defilement. Similarly, in west Africa and south America, the gesture is impolite.

  5. Crossed fingers • When middle finger and index finger crossed, the gesture may have three meanings, “good friend”, “good luck” and “I lie”. It is usual that means “good luck”.

  6. Open your hand • In America, if you open you hand and turn down your palm, it is usual to express the height. But in Mexico, as palm down, and hand in parallel with floor, it means “the height of animals”. And when palm is vertical, it means “the height of plant”. If you want to ask “the height of people”, you have to put out your index finger up.

  7. Nine • As index finger bend, and other fingers form a stone, it may mean number “nine”. But as I know, the gesture in Taiwan has bad meanings, which means someone pass away.
