  10. Activity 2 $6000 cash in hand Perspective from -HK Government -Student under 18 -Student over 18 -Grassroots -Professionals -Political parties -Shop owner of shopping centre -New immigrants

  11. Government’s view “In light of the public’s views on the MPF injection, I have decided not to use MPF as a platform,” Tsang said.

  12. Grassroots’ view Imagine, elderly people who collect cardboard from trash by day and night and trade it for a few miserable but vital bucks are going to collect a sum that could be more than a year’s earnings from their recovery-recycling efforts.

  13. Professionals’ view Mak Sui-choi, Associate Professor, Finance and Decision Sciences, HKBU: The cash handout is a very bad precedent. It’s a political, not an economics or academic, issue. Some people don’t need the HK$6000 handout, while the extra sum can be a great help to low-paid workers, the jobless and welfare recipients.

  14. Political Parties’ view Ip Kwok-him: The revised proposal is fair. Wong Kwok-hing: Now there is something HK can be proud of. Wong Yuk-man: The cash handout is a victory for the people

  15. Political Parties’ view Eu Yuet-mee: Besides, there is no overall strategy. Just a mess. It is worse than not giving any money. Ho Chun-yan: The unusual, if not unprecedented, move is a result of strong public reaction.

  16. Flexible Thinking • Empathy • Consider different views • Change one’s perspective to look at a situation • Reframing thoughts based on new information and knowledge

  17. Psalms1:1-2 1 Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord. 不從惡人的計謀,不站罪人的道路,不坐褻慢人的座位,

  18. Psalms1:1-2 2 But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night. 惟喜愛耶和華的律法,晝夜思想,這人便為有福!
