Hebrews 11:1-6 • 10: 37 For yet in a very little while,He who is coming will come, and will not delay.But My righteous one shall live by faith;And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him. Hab. 2:3-4 •  38But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. • What is this faith? Pisteuo, v. • Action—Belief—Confidence • Assurance & Conviction • Testimony • For by faith, men of old gained God’s approval.

  2. Example • We understand by God ‘word’ the worlds were made, the intangible into the tangible • Worshipping by faith • Abel • His faith produced a testimony of righteousness • Speaking to us yet today • Cain • Acknowledged God, yet didn’t obey God • He refused to acknowledge his sin

What does Abel speak today? • Man comes to God by faith—not works • Man must accept and obey God ‘word’ revelation—not his own reason produced by self-will • Sin will be punished • Walking by faith • Enoch—His witness—he was pleasing to God • Genesis 5:21-24; Jude 14-15, • Without faith there is no pleasing HIM

  4. Coming to God • Faith starts by believing HE is and • Believing God is a rewarder of those who seek HIM • Col. 2:6-7; 1 John 2:6
