  6. Facts about Panda Babies • Average weight 3.5-4 oz. (at birth) • Babies stay with their Mothers for 1-3 years after born. • They don’t open their eyes until 6-8 weeks old.

  7. Threats • Only 1000 live in the wild, the rst are breeded in zooz and shelters. • Why are they dying?

  8. Facts about Adults • 12 hours of the day are spent eating • 4-5 feet long • Live between 18-25 years in the wild • Most active at night • Females can climb trees

  9. Territory • Pandas are solitary animals (like to be alone) • 2-28 individuals in a group

  10. Comunication • Pandas communicate by: Scratching trees Leaving scent to attract others ·Each Panda has a unique scent
